GPU × monitor display-signal compatibility
Will this exact GPU and monitor run the display mode you want?
Pick your graphics card and monitor, choose a resolution, refresh rate, colour depth, HDR and VRR - get a per-connector verdict with the evidence behind it.
Not an FPS calculator. It answers one question: will this display signal actually go down the cable?
What it checks
Verdicts are per mode and per connector: the same pair can beSUPPORTED at 4K 120Hz over HDMI and NOT SUPPORTED at 4K 240Hz 10-bit over the same port.
What an answer looks like
- Yes - use DisplayPort. The mode fits without compression on DP; HDMI on this monitor tops out lower.
- Yes - but DisplayPort and DSC are required. The uncompressed link isn't wide enough; DSC closes the gap and both ends support it.
- Not supported. 240Hz isn't available on this connection. 144Hz is.
- Unknown. We couldn't verify the card's link rate from any official source. 120Hz is confirmed and safe.
Why a result can be UNKNOWN
Some GPUs - several AMD cards in particular - don't publish their DSC support or exact link grade anywhere official. We won't guess a spec to remove an UNKNOWN. Every UNKNOWN result still tells you what isconfirmed and the closest mode you can rely on.

FAQ
Is this a gaming FPS calculator?
No. It checks whether a display signal can be transmitted, not how many frames your GPU can render.
Does it guarantee my setup will work?
No. It reflects verified specifications and reported issues. Cables, firmware and drivers can still matter - see each result's "Known issues" and Terms & Disclaimer.
Why is my exact GPU or monitor missing?
The catalogue is a small, hand-verified pilot set. It grows as data is verified - we don't bulk-import unverified specs.
