About
This is a free, independent tool that checks whether a specific graphics card and a specific monitor can run a specific display mode - resolution, refresh rate, bit depth, HDR, VRR - over HDMI or DisplayPort, and what the evidence for that answer is.
What it is
- A compatibility-information tool, not a shopping guide and not a benchmark.
- Independent - not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, or any monitor manufacturer. Product names are used only to identify hardware.
- Focused on one question at a time: can this exact signal be transmitted on this exact hardware?
What it is not
- Not a guarantee. A verdict reflects verified specifications and reported issues; cables, firmware, drivers and OS settings can still get in the way.
- Not an FPS or performance predictor.
- Not a complete database - it's a hand-verified pilot set that grows as data is confirmed.
How the data works
Every spec value is tied to a source and graded A-F, with a "last verified" date. Manufacturer documentation comes first. Anything not documented stays UNKNOWN rather than being filled in from a version label or an assumption. When a better source appears, we correct the data. The full approach is on the Methodology page.
Current scope
- English / US.
- A small, hand-verified set of graphics cards and monitors.
- Combination result pages are not submitted to search engines by default.
- No ads, no analytics, no accounts, no tracking cookies.
Feedback & corrections
Corrections and requests for specific hardware are welcome. A public feedback channel isn't wired up yet; when it is, it will be linked here. If you spotted a data error, note the product, the field, and a source, and it will be reviewed against our corrections policy.
